Message Went flawlessly actually.

Unbolted the jwt genie, which was easy, dropped it out in one piece, bolted up the x-pipe snugly, then realized we had to cut off the tow hooks to put on the mufflers. Used combination of pneumatic rotary tool/torch to cut those off, and then bolted up the rear section of the exhaust. Checked for alignment from behind the car, and it looked perfect. Tightened everything up, started the car, sounded good, and was still hanging in exactly the right spot.

The exhaust has tip reducers installed-two are pop riveted in, and two just pressed in. I'd like to remove them as I don't see the big deal w/ the volume of the B&B... but I'm not sure how to. I assume I can just pull the ones that are pressed in. Will I notice a big sound difference?

Also, I ran the car with just x-pipe attached to see what it would sound like. Whoever said a TT would sound bad with straight pipes is an idiot, it sounded awesome. Sounds almost like B&B, but a little raspier and a lot louder. You could get away with it easily though.

So, has anyone heard the difference between the 3" system w/ and w/o the tip reducers?

Also, do you guys kind of lose the sound of the exhaust to the whine of the turbos above 3k or 3500rpms? Supposedly you can hear the exhaust outside, but it gets a little quieter, but inside all I hear is turbo's in the high rpm's.

I love the sound, but I expected it to be louder.

Later,
Matt
