I ran one long ago with the Black Z and he took off from the dead stop, it took me hard shifting to catch up but never passed just drive side by side. A Z06 405 horsepower. Zero-to-60 in under four seconds. Lateral acceleration of 1 g. And a top speed that has exceeded over 170 mph on a test track. Torque (lb-ft): 400 @ 4800 rpm. Displacement: 5665cc, but most of all the car 3118 weight compared to the Z32 in at 3500lbs, kinda hurts. For the power bands of the two cars is really different in there make up. The Z06 runs about a Stg V++++ Ztt. Same with Vipers and all other high NA American Sports cars. Looks at the 1/4 miles times as well. There cars run low traps speeds with there low times ( avg. Z06 is 108 to 114mph ), Stg V+ Z about the 112 to 116mph. Lighter is better, Greg D with his 240 Vg30dettt waistng a Z06 on the open track.
