The pressure/temperature relation is correct, but the dramatic increase in temperature is a DIRECT result of the oxidation-reduction reaction (ie. combustion) occurring, not because of pressure increase alone. That said, this is obviously not a graduate level class. Nor anything approaching it. What graduate are we talking about? H.S. chemistry or Junior High? In one paragraph you state the EGT's will remain steady as long as the A/F ratio is constant. Then, a few paragraphs later, during your hypothetical 3rd & 4th gear run with NOS injection, you state that the A/F mixture drops from 11:1 to just below 10:1. Yet you state that the EGT's hold steady. So which is it?
