" made it sound like you surmised the theoretical hicas rods wouldn't mount to the subframe at all, but see they would have. essentially it would performs the same function as with brackets. but what keeps it from working, " as kyle noted, was that it would put the geometry off. the rods would still mount to the subframe, and move up and down with the suspension........just off a little :)
