Message Getting onto the highway, this blue Z3 (convertible not coupe) blows by me... I quickly followed him as he aggressively moved over to the fast lane. As soon as we were in the fast lane, I hear him downshift and so I drop it into 3rd. I pulled hard up to his rear end and had to shift early to avoid running into him. (Good thing my NOS isn't fully installed yet otherwise I probably would have! LOL) Once in fourth gear, same thing happened... I had to shift into 5th gear (there were other cars up ahead in the lane next to us, so I didn't want to switch lanes). So, I'm thinking to myself, is this guy really racing or not... and then I look down at the speedo and realized we were doing about 100... so, I guess so :-) Well, traffic cleared up, and I just floored it in 5th and blew by him without much effort. He then proceeds to do a GM pass, and I just let him keep going.

Anyways, I don't know if he was M-powered or not... I do know he had a dual exhaust, and I think I read somewhere that M-powered Z3's have dual exhausts. But, the way I pulled on him, I was kind of surprised... maybe he was just a regular Z3 with a dual exhaust? This WAS the first time I ever really opened up my Z with my new setup, so maybe he was a M-powered Z3 and I just have a crazy fast Z!

What do you guys think? Supposedly a M-powered Z3 is the fastest BMW ever made until the new M3 and Z8 come out!
