Well My Z just caught on fire! My girl and I were driving around town about 2 hours ago and we just got of the highway and the engine stalled, all systems shut down and smoke came from under the hud. I pulled into the next street (residence) and got out as fast as possible. A gentleman who was washing his truck came running with the water hose and put the fire out. The fire was on the driver side of the engine, the fire got everything from the fuse box to the brake booster. When the tow truck came and put the car up, you could see that the fire went under the car and burned the fuel line, THANK GOD that the fire did not get to the fuel tank. The tow-man talked something about Z32s being notorious for catching on fire. Is that true? Any idea what happened? Random accident? I didn't do anything to the fuel system except for a fuel injector change about 6 month back. Well its time for that new turbo engine and some more power(AND SAVER FUEL SYSTEM) any idea on how to make the fuel line save that this cannot happen. I need a beer!
