That was my number one concern as well. From what I've seen, the bumpers seem to be strong enough to hold up to the rigors of daily driving. The only part of the bumper I'd be concerned about is the bottom of the bumper, in the center. That part on the bumpers I've seen tends to be the weak part, as it is only a "bar" of urethane, with no support behind it, so it appears droopy or warped. (I'm not sure what the correct description should be.)
