gains I could receive from Pentroof manifolds that justify the cost. My understanding is that an equal length tubular design, like Pentroof's, distributes heat over a larger area and reduces heat stress on welds. A ladder type exhaust manifold, like Greddy's, concentrates heat in a smaller overall path and, as a result, welds suffer. For the couple of hundred dollars it takes to brace-weld suspect areas on Greddy's manifolds, I have to question the cost/benefit of Pentroof.
