| And any of the endless info on the net. Picture the block. 6 cylinders, with nothing on top. You can look right down at the pistons. The heads are what sit on top of the block. The bottoms of the heads are machined to form the tops of the combustion chambers. The head gasket sits in between heads and block. You will have two heads (one for each side with 3 cylinders). There will be 4 valves per cylinder (2 intake, 2 exhaust), 3 cylinders per head, so 12 valves in one head. 12 lifters as well. In the whole motor you have two heads, so 24valves/lifters.
