you do not; 1. build car. 2. start car. 3. take to dyno to do high RPM pulls. that's absolutely completely stupid. you do; 1. build car. 2. idle car. 3. fix what doesnt work. 4. goto 2. 5. car idles good? excellent. run idle up to 2k. 6. check temps. check everything. check hoses. check for leaks. check for oil. 7. passed that? excellent. pull it out of the shop, put it back in. 8. passed that? excellent. make a slow journey down the block and back. 9. passed that? awesome, were kicking ass now.... 10. time to take it around the block. 11. now it's time for a 15 minute stint through town. 12. everythings going swimmingly... 13. time to keep RPMS low and respectable and drive it as much as possible for one week. 14. tighten everything up. 15. fresh gas. 16. now, tune for tuning sakes. His post made it sound like they just installed the engine that morning (effectively), and had never even driven the car. Why would you EVER plan to dyno a car you haven;t driven?
