Message Not that long, only 7 short paragraphs, but read if you woud like.

So I drove off and get on the service road of a turnpike where there were "always almost" no traffic in DFW.
There I saw a purple Lambo Diablo traveling the same direction.
Coincidently (luckily), we stopped side by side at the lights and I had this opportunity to roll down my window to had a short pleasant conversation with the driver and passenger.
I thought my B&B was loud, but his Cow was loud as well. We had to kinda yell.

Time went by quick and the lights turned green. We rolled in 1st gear and 2nd and we were still talking, well, yelling.....
Then I asked him nicely, "Could I have a little run with you?
Cow, "nah..... there maybe cops around"
Me, "not here, I live around here, there are no cops here at all"
He kinda turned down still and naturally, I up-shifted to 3rd and moved on.

All of the sudden (a few seconds later), the Cow disappeared in my left side mirror and blew by me and left me a very impressive first ever seen blow-by tone and move, YUM!!!!!!!!!
I played catching up at about 57mph while I should have shifted to 2nd where the top power curve began at with stock turbos, but I didn't becoz of all the surprise, shock, excitement, wonder left me thinking of nothing. Don't think there are many of you have seen a Diablo speeding up, especially blowing by next to your door, have you?
I mean, most of the Diablos are either sitting there or rolling slowly on the roads unless you are in Gumball runs or tracks.

While my rpm reved to the sweet spot (4.5K+), he was about 3 cars length ahead. My stock turbo Z, surprisingly, was shortening our distance slowly with 1 car at 6.7K!
Then, (dunno about him), I upshifted to 4th, and that was when I really felt the power kicked in, and surprisingly^2 by my Z, our distance was shorten with 1 more car quicker than the 3rd!
I don't know, but my 4th always kicks hard and the exact same case when I raced a C5 with heads+cam+no cats; I reelmed it at 4th........

By then, we quickly got to about 120, he initiated the shut off. We came to the light again, but we didn't talk long becoz of the green.
Geez, for the first time I hated the green lights :-(
I needed to go to somewhere quickly so I didn't ask him to pull over for a short talk, but this guy is local and I have seen him 2 times b4 and he has my cell number, so next time.
Of course, I yelled over 2 big THANK YOU FOR RACING before turning.

I am really surprised by how well my stock turbo Z at 15.5lbs could almost hang there with a Diablo. He was really racing it b4 anyone telling me the Diablo's numbers.
It was either the drivers or the cars, or both.
I don't know, but my Z has always been pulling very healthy. The local Zers who have test drove or ridden my Z commented that my Z pulled stronger than the other Zs with same/comparable mods. No, I still have not yet put it on dyno.
The Cow is the latest version of the retractable headlights with refinement on the corner lights and rounder front end b4 the Z32 headlights version, so it should be 96+. I didn't ask.

Well, in the end, if we were to race the top speed, the Z will never see its taillight with stock drive train.
And he will still be driving a Lambo home. What a beautiful machine!
Big prop to the Diablo driver/owner who rendered me such a great challenge!

WOW! You do finishing reading it! You have patience! :-)
