Message :1) what is your elevation in New Mexico? If its significantly higher than sea level, it brings up the whole debate regarding the accuracy of the correction factors on turbocharged cars.

~5000 Ft. Here's the chart, sorry I didn't include it earlier. I dont have photoshop installed so it is huge. As far as accuracy, I think it is pretty close... my dad's 03 Cobra layed down ~391 which is right at its advertised RWHP level.

:2) As someone else mentioned, what is your timing set at?

15 degrees as of 3 weeks ago when I checked my plugs/timing. I guess I should check it again to see, but it really shouldn't vary, should it?

:3) How much boost are you running (ie. possible you or a previous owner installed jets/welding tips with stock ecu)? OR, you have a JWT ECU and you didn't know it (it happens -- sometimes people luck out when they buy a used TT)?

That's true, I should check out the ECU. Haven't torn up the floorboard yet to look. Stock boost gauge shows 9-10 psi though. I know it's not very accurate.

:4) Your mod list did mention a lightweight flywheel. That will have an impact (some would say ~ 10hp at least). Your drop-in K&N filters probably had minimal effect though.

hehe sorry. My profile was done for my 93 2+2. The airfilters on the TT are just OEM replacements. I never got a lightened flywheel for the 2+2 either, just ended up resurfacing the old one when I replaced the clutch :(

:5) Is your exhaust system totally stock, with all catalytic converters still intact?

As far as I know. I don't really have anything to compare it to other than my 2+2. Looks normal to me though I suppose the precats could have been gutted or something? I just figured if someone was gonna mod the car they woulda started with the airbox, and that is totally stock heh.

:6) Has your engine ever been rebuilt? Sometimes even stock rebuilts end up a built overbored. More displacement should equal a bit more power.

No, 46k on the odo is all. Bought it in January from a guy in CO who said it sat in his garage forever.

:A stock TT should dyno ~245-250 rwhp +/- a bit.
:Anyway, great numbers regardless!!

I thought it seemed high... I was expecting 240. Was a pleasant suprise to see 268 hehe.

Only answer to the richness question was Ash with the boostleak comment. Guess i'll have to read up on that. Makes sense. Not sure how to track that kind of stuff down though :(
