Fork out the money now for a proffessional web site developer. I think nothing puts people off buying online more than a sloppy web page. It infers that the company and people your dealing with arent proffessional. For example, there is the occassional spelling mistake and half of the US site is in Japanese and the layout isnt the best. You will get lots of word of mouth from here because people know you, but people who dont know you will be judging your company based on what they see on the website.
Just my own personal opinion as someone who buys a lot of parts over the internet.
