Message for instance, the metal that the intercooler is made of will change may change structurally with repeated deep cooling and heating cycles causing the metal to become stronger, but far more brittle. As long as the air that passes through the intercooler doesn't get too cold then you shouldn't have the same thermal issues in the engine intake system. Also, I'd hope you aren't using any rubber connectors in that system as the rubber would lose all flexibility at liquid nitrogen temps and will just crack into pieces if flexed. Interesting idea though I'd suggest staying with something warmer, i.e. dry ice.
