Message To the uninitiated, you can come across as defensive and abrasive. This is not good for future business potential for you or Z1 - sorry to be blunt about this, but Spee hit the nail on the head here. Now that you are part of Z1, there is a lot more at stake for you....and them.

In contrast, I was pleasantly surprised at our email exchange a couple of weeks ago when you asked for dead ECU's (BTW - I still haven't gotten it back from JWT yet). You came across as a complete opposite of the posts I am seeing in this thread (note: I am not implying that you always come across in a negative manner). I would even speculate that you are this way 99.999% of the time you correspond via emails. So why do you need to be different in your "online personality"?

You have a right to stand your ground against those who start flinging mud, but I would suggest that the best way to achieve this is by taking the higher position and not jumping in to throw mud right back. This may not be your way of handling things, and if that is the case, I respect your right to react any way you please.

However, the rules of engagement may need to be rewritten if you want to be successful (in the long run) with selling your ECU upgrades. I presume you're in this for the money (it may not be your first priority, but it is undoubtedly a motivator). If you want to make a lot of money selling the ECU's, you're going to need to be more appealing to people on all fronts. Nothing leaves a bad taste to a customer more than a vendor who comes across in a negative manner. Customers are fickle about these things. But when it comes to asking them to part with their money for your product, they will weigh many factors (reputation of company/product, the attentiveness of the sales staff, etc....). I've seen some occasions where gatherings of tt.net folks will result in a conversation of the latest AshZ post wars. Regrettably, the general focus of the conversations are not in your favor.

In the end, I believe that people will be hesitant to consider buying your ECU, no matter how great it is, because your "online personality" overshadows the potential of the product. I am not saying that you should change to be "Guapo-esque" ("have a blessed day"), but you may want to see if any of what I've mentioned above would help out and avoid the wave of flame posts.

I hope you take this post in a positive way - I mean no disrespect to you or Z1, and as a fellow Z-enthusiast, I wish you the best of luck with your efforts on the ECU.

Dave N.
