| Well man, I am sort of in the same boat, if not worse off then you. I am on a college budget (a VERY EXPENSIVE college) But we have these magic things called "student loans" and yes, I took out $1000 do do so Z modding.. :-) But all that aside... -DONT GET MACCO PAINT, this is for when you have a POS car and just want it to look good for a few months, then it flakes off -I had a custom exhaust done at a local shop for $426, very pleased.. 2.5" pipes twin tip magnaflow mufflers and I have a pair of resinators in there to make the sound just right. -Replace the clutch when it goes bad, thats my plan.. and I plan on getting a flywheel too. -Do the undersrive pulley and belts during your 120k. Get an UR one from the research I've done. (I plan on getting mine during my 60k in about a year) -I have a singlepeice steel driveshaft from powertrain, while my muffler guy was welding my stuff on I had him install it, but it is supposed to be VERY simple. On a side note, you are in highschool and about to go to college. If you have some spare change laying around, go ahead and play... You might find yourself in some tight spots with cash, so have a savings set up for emergencies (save my ass) it doesnt need to be that much, maybe $1000-$2000.
I'm going to have a 4 1/2 year education from the best flight school in the country... Spent $150,000 and after 9/11 I will be working at Mcdonalds for about the next 40 years trying to pay off my HUGE loans. BUT I STILL HAVE MY Z :-)
