:These were the compression numbers prior to my TD05 dyno that netted 597whp two years ago. :1-135 :2-120 :3-125 :4-112 :5-125 :6-125 :Today was judgement day for my Z. I decided to do a compression check with the help of Zeus and Zengineer to see how healthy my engine was with the top of the line snap on tool. Remember I have 8:1 pistons with a 2.0mm metal head gasket. Engine was fairly warm (let it sit for 40mins) and I took out the power to my fuel pumps. :1-140 :2-130 :3-125 :4-115 :5-123 :6-125 I added oil to cylinder #4 and it went to 125. The reason #1 is higher is because when I had my machine shop rebuild the engine when it blew, they had to fix one of my crower rods by adding weight to it and I was told he would place it in cylinder #1 because it has the least tear and was warned about a slightly higher compression. Comparing my compression #'s with my TD05 kit, I know its not my engine causing the power loss with the TD06 kit. I am now left with intercooler, low 7:8:1 compression, intake and intercooler piping or a huge ass leak but my plugs were nice and brown when I took them out today. :I am fed up of all this shit and have been tossing around the idea of selling my car and getting a Supra. I won't do anything now until winter comes because I want to enjoy my car this summer. I know if I buy a Supra it will be the same old story again. I was also thinking of replacing my TD06's and putting some TD05's on my Pentroof manifolds and getting a brand new stock short block a la Zhound. If I do pull the engine for my current TD06 turbos, I will remove the thick head gasket and put a stock size in to raise the compression. I might as well fix the rings on #4, redo all my intake and intercooler piping to 60mm to accomadate my huge ass turbos, get a 3 row intercooler, install my Border 850cc injetors I have lying around and put the Haltech. I am not looking forward to the TD06 route. With the TD05's, I just get the turbos and a brand new shortblock for $1800 and call it a day and run 600whp+ all day like Zo. Devin from Japan is sending me a custom chip with advance timing on boost because he thinks the ECU is retarding the timing with such low boost. I will also give that a try this summer. Will it ever end? I am tired of dumping money on this car. Don't get me wrong, I love this car to death but someday I want to buy my own house and start a family. I just don't know what to do.
