Message	during the last minute of my ride home (straight road, 65mph, then turning into the neighborhood). My hood doesn't even vibrate at that speed so if you're driving at residential speeds it shouldn't matter. Every car is different though so YMMV... I always put my hood up when I get into the garage anyway so it's a good reminder for me to do that.
