| I even put a fan blowing on the motor and if you search on here ( old post ), you'll see where people would say that I'm anal as well. But car runs very strong still to this day and I do the same thing to the Yellow one. Releasing that trapped in heat is the goal, weather manually lifting the hood or buying a vented hood. I don't do it if I'm parked outside much, because you don't want someone coming over looking at your motor sections while your away. But I did do it last year on one of our Z club cruises. We where doing an all day wine tour where we went to different places to taste test wines etc. Well, one of the last ones we went to we all happen to pull in the parking lot and there just happen to be this area's Corvette club. Some where inside and some just going in as we parked. I parked got out and popped the hood and left it open because it was a very hot day that day. Walked away over to one of the other Z guys waiting for him so we could go in. Just before we left to go in, I seen two guys and one girl walk over to my car from the Corvette group. So a sat there and just watch and heard her say " Why does he have his hood up " One of the guys, maybe boyfriend say. Oh his just trying to show off his motor. So I walked back over to explain. They had no clue it was my car they where talking about. So I explain that it's a twin turbo force induction motor and as you can see there's zero ventilation, plus the fact I've boosted the power up to 480Hp. So really your just helping the car out. Heck I don't even drive the cars on days where's it's in the 90's at all. I just don't care to put that kinda stress on them.
