Message Bster made 575whp with less boost and a richer fuel mixture. I dont find it normal that the difference from 1.4 bar to 1.7 bar netted me only a 10whp or so gain. I am waiting for WCoffey to return my boost leak tool and test for leaks. I will also lift one side of the engine to fix that clamp that is over the motor mount and has a leak on the turbo inlet. I will then follow the test with a compression test. I just dont get it. The car feels much faster than my old TD05 setup and that setup made me 597whp. I am making close to 80whp less with the same boost. I was expecting to gain 80whp and not lose it :( My timing was at 15 but that is no excuse for my bad #'s. I also changed my plugs the day before and there was no missing on the pulls. I am waiting for my friend to scan the papers and I will post them here. Any suggestions from you guys would be grateful. My tuner thinks its low compression but I dont think thats the case because teh car doesn't smoke and it idles perfectly. Also, according to the dyno, I was running 12.0 on boost but still saw lots of black smoke so I am also questioning that. Even Zengineer saw the puffs of black smoke on boost. It wasn't oil. It was Black.

:but i had those turbos on my Z and I found that they were horribly inefficient at lower boost settings. They made about the same or even less power per psi then my 16gs.
:But by mistake I cranked it up a little too far and above 2 bar they came alive and jumped to rediculous hp.
:I would check every connection and compression then I would give it another shot and go for big boost. I put down way more than 2 bar on a stock block stock bolt stock gasketed motor. It held together for a few pulls and street runs, and had some pretty good results from my auto. I never ran it at the track though.
:Then again what do I know.
