Message fiberglassing stuff nightly. just hard to do it in a hotel room. Have already been bitched out by management. :)

Anyway,
here's what I am doing;
pivot shift lights installed in 'brim' of stock gauge cluster cover (large curved thing). Only the lights are visible, and BARELY. The install took two nights.

gauges;
the stock gauge cluster is being lifted in the back (nearest to driver) about 3.5 inches (TBD). imagine having an invisible hinge up by the windshield vents.
the gauges will go in underneath the new gap, recessed about 2 inches. the new gauge holder will be of fiberglass and resemble the 300degree gauge pod (sunken 'cups' that hold the gauges).
The gauges may be very slightly blocked by your hand if it is at 12:00 position. But in racing environments (3 and 9 position), the gauges are very visible.
I can cram 4 gauges in there uncomfortably (52mm) Anyway, that is where I am at now. trying to make it 'comfortable'.

from the outside of the car, the cluster will look pretty damned stock. The recessed gauges will be hard to see from outside the car. They will be difficult to read from passangers side too.

For me, it's all about function first, and stealth a very very close second.
I need to take pictures of that too now, eh? someday...

Ps, the Pivot Shift Light (SPLParts.com) is a must own. If you don't have one, get one.
