Message Well, after many, many hours of prepping, sanding, taping, spraying, untaping, heating, cooling, taping, spraying again, untaping again, heating again... here are my Enkeis powdercoated with a chrome lip and black inside... I'll have pictures of them on the slicks after the open track event this weekend in NorCal...

First, the entire wheel was sandblasted to remove remnant brake dust, dirt, grease, etc...

then the outer lip was powdercoated with the chrome composition, then, the wheel was fused in the oven for 15 minutes to fuse the coating, as shown here.

The lip was then taped up so that overspray from the black center area did not contaminate the chrome lip:

The black powdercoat was applied to the center/spoke area of the wheel, then refused for solidification...

and lastly, it took a lot of THIS:

to get through this PITA process...

More pictures of them on my car in a few days...
