Message	AMS-2482a Hardcoat Anodize with teflon. You will NOT scrape or discolor hardcoat anodize (type 3). The cheaper and easier anodize (type 2) is a sulfuric dip and is not considered a long term/wear coating. I recommend hardcoat anodize over powder coating. (they can die it any color you like with in reason). basically; AMS-2468e does not require salt spray tests (240hours) AMS-2469d requires 240 hours of salt spray test (corrosion test afterwords) AMS-2482a requires 336 hours of salt spray (coefficent of friction test and corrosion test afterwords) AMS-2468e will be your cheapest mil-spec anodize. talk with your anodizing shop and let them know your requirements.
