like 300-400 watts (may be even a tad much, but I would think its perfect for what your looking for). IF you do indeed get a sub make sure to not hook it up directly to the head unit and buy a small amp for the sub woofer instead, I believe this was it will optimize the usage of the sub. If you really wanted you could check the specifications of your stereo and see what type of Sub Woofer it can handle, in watts that is. IF you do get an amp make sure its not too powerful nor too weak for the sub, you will run into problems if so. I think thats about it. Personally, I had 2 1000 watt peak Rockford Fosgates in my Z and it was pretty damn loud, maybe a lil too loud (not maybe it was). UMm so I would stick to a quality name brand and just get one of their lower types of subs. JL, Rockford, and many others. Oh ya and don't get a bazooka sub, bleh. Also a stealth box would look the best but is not needed for the best sound quality.....hope this helps...
