Message	Well this may be a repost from what most have said but if it helps here it goes: 1. it does take 30 days from the time you close or open an account to show on your credit report. 2. what this woman was telling you use to be true (looong ago), but it does no longer affect your credit rating, she just needs to get with the times, it will show on your report as a inquire but will not affect in anyway your credit. 3. Since this is something that you need to do ASAP my sugestion is to go elsewhere and open a new account, (remember it will take 30 days for anything to show)and settle the existing one when you get more time.
