Removing that rotating mass wont decrease spool time. What your actually noticing is that the car, since lighter, has less inertia and therefore responds more rapidly to transients. So the car willa ccelerate a bit faster which means it will wrap up quicker, ie youll hit boost sooner. So your turbo is not actually spooling any earlier based on RPM. But it is definitely documented that decreasing rotating mass makes a huge difference. Take a look at the kinematics equations... Later Josh
