Message Lets use this analogy...if you cut the McDonald straw in half to suck up their shake, it's not going to be any faster than the full length straw (only initially to get a taste of this damn thing). If you switch to a normal, bigger straw, you can use less pressure (suction) to drink their shake faster. Correct?

Same for the intercooler core, if you have a core that has bigger cross sectional area (height x thickness), you can flow more air at less pressure.
