Message	But you are along the right lines. It chooses which ever one is getting better reception, but doesn't switch the one off or on (making it raise or lower) depending on this. So basically, any aftermarket radio will work with both. It's only a matter of the adaptor and whether or not it will feed both signals to the head unit. Most adaptors only send the power antenna signal it seems, which make sense. Thats why I spliced mine to use both (and now only the hatch one).
