i was interested in getting an illuminated rear center panel, and decided to buy a 2nd center panel since mine was pretty messed up from my own attempt. I called z1 to order the piece. i spoke with russell, and he said he wanted $60 for it. Whoever had referred me said they sold them for AROUND $50. so i said i had a friend who had bought one for $50 and wondered if they would give me the same price. he seemed extremely reluctant..."well, that was a one time price, blah blah blah" (first off, jspec brand new ones run around $70, $60 for a used one? wtf?) well, very reluctantly they gave me the same price. i asked them to make sure it was in excellent condition, as i was using it to make an illuminated panel. "will do" well anyway, i ordered one and had z1 send it to a forum member (tonylotus) in new york (who was putting it together for me). always keeping me posted, he told me the center panel that came in from them looked all banged up and scratched to shit. but he would do some very fine sanding and polishing to make it look better. well, he ended up destroying the first one (cracked it while pulling apart) and forked out the cash to buy another one from a local zer near him with no charge to me (awesome guy). which is what i have today. 1) i can honestly say i felt more like a burdance than a customer during my phone call to z1
2) they wanted $60 for a USED panel that costs about $70 new
3) i asked them to make sure it was in good condition, they sent a very scratched shitty one from the phone call alone i wouldnt do business with them again. ive heard of them charging for stuff used more than it is new *cough*. so i dont think there's any more need for emails to sno like: "I am interested to know which one of you "friends" had a bad experience with us. Feel free to read my response to the guy on the forum earlier today. We appreciate all the bashing when you don't know the situation. Russell Floyd
