Causing you PCV system to clog up and blow seals anyway? A cleaner internal running motor will last longer then one that is stressed just trying to operate. If something is going to leak, then it should be fixed anyway, or the owner is just biding time until something major goes. That lifter that's ticking is caused by it sticking from years of oil burning and cooling and burning and cooling, slowing it's movement. Ever pull off the PCV value rubber lines in the whole track? There's little brass plugs and a wire brush in some parts that catch dirt and bigger particles, over time as one can imagine the system is clogged and it starts to blow the dipstick out trying to vent the crankcase. Flushing the system out will try and go threw the whole oil track and clean it out. It's a pain in the ass to go in and replace all the rubber lines and the PCV themselves, but has to be done at some point.
