Unless Im forgetting something, theres no reason that having the glass at an angle would cause the antenna to undergo any more free-space loss than at a different angle, or to lose any gain... If your getting bad reception, perhaps its becasue the antenna in the glass is either cut, or simply isnt as good of an antenna as the other one...
