| people running HUGE amounts of boost and HP MAY benefit from an FMIC. Upgraded side mounts flow just as much air and can do it almost as efficiently with less pressure drop. The FMIC really doesn't gain much in terms of performance over a good set of side mounts. This leaves us with people getting them because they think they look cool. I have no problem with people getting them, and sometimes I do think they look pretty cool. My point is that it's not really worth it (to me) given the fact that it impedes the flow to the rad, sends hot air into the intakes (provided they are not relocated), and it doesn't really give any performance gains over upgraded side mounts.
