Message Giving that we all can't buy or experiment with every known product out there, we can base some on our theories. I search like many on what I haven't seen or done myself in assisting others to come to some kinda direction or something to think about. So knowing many with just about any and all set up's out there from many other car manufactures such as Supra's, RX's, Z's and American domestic's, I goto them first for real time answers. Then like many, I search for real good documentation on that product and what is best or best with a budget and gathering from this gentlemen's post and his profile I was uncertain of his situation or credible real concern on doing such and task given his so less frequently visits here in the year on board and no profile.

When it comes to Turbo's I go to a lot of sources starting with those I know and ones I've talked to for years on here. When it comes to here I turn to Sparkie or his site first and for most. I wasn't knocking the idea of having Cam/heads, just that do it all or none if he where to go that route. But since there not a huge difference in size compared to stock turbo's and cam's are not brought up prior to sale like Sport 650's are, the need does not fall before the other modification or parts I mentioned to him first. Cam's/heads WILL produce good results and I like everyone have seen that as well, please don't think I was saying otherwise. Again, not sure where the poster is coming from.

I do know this is what happens when you replace with a much bigger turbo and not have heads to support it:

The compressed air's temperature rises rapidly and the exhaust manifold pressure skyrockets, causing super-heated exhaust gases to reverse direction back into the cylinder. (Without special camshafts, it can actually enter the intake runners!) Not only will this severely limit horsepower, but may damage the engine and the turbocharger.

Thanks for asking thought, you as well give good advise.
