Message	On a Maxima, which mounts the filter sideways: Fram = oil drains out of filter when engine is turned off...you start the car for a split second without oil. OEM = This filter doesn't allow oil to drain out. (Always protected) I thought this was what you were referring to (which doesn't affect the Z as it's filter is upside down).
