HU = Head Unit, sound source (tuner, CD, tape) 4V Pre Outs = The voltage of the RCA pre-amplifier outputs from the head unit. The higher the voltage, the better the noise rejection from other electrical sources. 2ch amp = two channel amplifier, left and right channels high powered mind blowing 6.5" comps = High quality component speakers with a 6.5" diameter mid-woofer and a 1" (typically) dome tweeter, and an external passive crossover. The crossover allows you to send highs to the tweeters, and lows to the mid-woof with out the need for a 4 channel amp or other active (powered) electronics. bleh coax rear speakers = lower cost speakers with a mid-woof and tweeter in one assembly, using a capacitor to filter out the lows to prevent tweeter damaging. rear fill = the well accepted concept that most of your sound should come from in front of you. Rear fill simply gives some presence to the rear of you. You don't want to hear crisp dialogue and instruments from behind you, you want to pinpoint them in the sound stage in front of you. I agree with most of what he said, except I would suggest a 4 channel amplifier, to drive your fronts and rears, using the gain and active crossover to filter the rear to play from 100hz to around 7,000hz. I would also suggest using the same manufacturer of speaker all around, for similar tonal charecteristics and sensitivity levels. email me for a further discussion if you like.
