| As for the fact that it doesn't matter until you actually DO something with your car, I whole-heartedly agree as I said in another post above: "Understand that until you actually DO certain things, everyone gives ya crap...defy the odds, swap that motor and enjoy that car for what it was made for...DRIVING :)" "That being said, why wouldn't they WANT to make their NA faster?" That's just it, most people do but think they can't. Either people on this forum tell them modding the NA is a complete waste or they tell them to buy a TT. So you have a vast majority of people making them look great and keeping them slow or trying to swap TTs into them. I'd almost venture to say that the situation is bred in large part by US (the so-called elitists) on TT.net. Maybe not you and I specifically all of the time, but a lot of us here. See, the first mods I did to my NA after the basic intake/exhaust/ecu were suspension with the intent to track the car (and I did, just not as much as time would permit). Most of these guys do NOT understand that. They don't realize an NA track car can be a beast and I've gotten less fond of going since I stopped driving my NA.
