| cover off, the front wheel well off and the lower intercooler bracket screw. I fought to not doo all that and had to anyway. Would have saved me a 1/2 hour to just go ahead and have done it. The bolt in the tension rod comes out towards the outside of the car and hits the bottom of the intercooler tube just enough to keep it from coming out. If you remove the bracket screw it gives you a little wiggle room and you can wiggle on the tension rod and the bolt to force it out. When I put it back in I lost my leverage and fought it for a few minutes before I tried just tapping it with and small hammer a few times and it popped right back in. The remove/install is very simple. No problem. Damn, yours are shot dude!!!
