i was sitting home lookin @ a sight that had hoods and body kits and such...but some of the hoods had a cowl induction, the air inlet on our cars is between the head lights so this didn't make a whole lotta sence(maybe they're just for looks) but i have a friend with a neon who put a scoop towards the front of the engine because he said rushing the cold air over the engine can help cool it down some? so i get to thinking about another friends car(a *cool* civic with a coffee can exhaust, hood pins and high performance stickers lol) and thought what if you get hood pins that are an extra inch longer so you could pop your hood a little bit(maybe an inch or so about were it pops when you just pull the inside latch) and use that to rush lots of cold air in to the engine. i no the pins are a little ricey but if you could use it like that would it work? I know it would f**ck with aero dymanics of the car but would an inch be enough to slow you down and would the cold air help? just thought i would ask.
