Cross drilled - less surface area, potential to crack under extreme use, better heat disspation.
Quality cross drilled rotors should be drilled in radial, meaning larger diameter on the top and then gradually smaller as it goes down, just like the funnel.

Slotted - better stop than cross drilled, paths for gas to escape, more wear on the brake pads.
2 types of slotted - the one that slots to the edge of the rotor and the one that slots within the rotor surface. I have heard that first one would cause crack, but I have not experienced or seen it. The first one should be more efficient for gas to escape.
