I have 265/35/18 on a 9 inch wheel in front and the sidewall is perfectly straight. 235's and 245's belong on a 7.5 or 8 inch wheel. You want the beads of the tire to be relaxed not stretched out and held on the wheel by air pressure. It's like all those K5 Blazers with 15X12 wheels running 32X11.50X15's, they don't look right do they? If you need to run 245's to clear then you need to get the correct size wheel as well. No point in having the extra weight and cost of a 9 inch wide wheel if you're not going to make use of it...
