What exactly are EGT's for? I mean, I know they are so you can tell how hot the gasses are coming out of your engine, but the hotter the gasses are the leaner you are running, correct? So therefor if you have EGT's you don't necessarily need and air/fuel gauge? I'm assuming the air/fuel gauge will give you a little more warning unless you are really paying attention to the EGT's when they start rising. Anyone care to explain or re-affirm what I'm thinkin? Thanks,
