Message :purpose, 1/4 mile is lame, etc., it seems as though the only thing a Jeep with a Corvette engine is gonna be any good for is, well, the 1/4 mile. True?

:
this jeep is built as a daily driver. as such, it looks like a daily driver.
i lost my original motor and tranny, found this motor and tranny on ebay for 2K.
i've always dreamed of hauling a z32 on a trailer to an autocross, drop off the trailer, and go run the jeep on the autocross.
i've also always dreamed to bag the jeep entirely, all the way around. something you'd never expect a jeep to do. plus, it will dramatically improve handling, and allow the jeep to have a 2" drop or a 4" lift (user selectable).
david280z really wants to run the 1/8th just to see what it'll do. i really don't want to. but tommorow, i am going to my fabricators and install the 4 linked rear. this is more for safety, since I know the torque is going to break the stock leaf springs some day. PLUS, I have SICK torque steer above 40mph if i punch it. It's down right scary.
so thats the truth ruth.

TBD, the airbags, and which form of forced induction. either twin turbos (i have ONE) or supercharged. dunno yet.
so you've gotten this far and said, nixit's a goddamn hiupocrate. no, not really. see, when you see a pimped out 300zx with TT stickers, wing, and stupid shit, you expect it to be fast. If you've ever seen a jeep wrangler waste a mustang from a 20 mph roll, you're gonna get that 'dropped jaw' reaction. When I roll to autozone or pepboys and need an ECM scan, I pop the hood to get to the diagnostic port and the techs ALWAYS are amazed... "holy shit". so, in comparison, jeeps aren't supposed to be killer fast. mine is. Z's are supposed to be killer fast, many are not.
