Message I have a couple of good things to check.

An eyeball comparison with a stock ZTT with stock wheels and fresh stock springs says my car is sitting about an inch higher than it did before. Some of this is attributable to sidewall height difference, but I don't know whether spring sag is the issue. I will have to do some measurements to check. My car has 75k miles and the springs haven't been replaced since my ownership started at 48k miles.

I will try the same turn with the shocks on "sport" to see whether problem recurs.

As far as offset goes, I hope that's not the problem- these wheels came off an SMZ, and I assumed that if there were any aftermarket wheels that would just bolt right on with no offset issues these would be the ones. Did the SMZ wheels come with spacers or centering rings or any other hardware, or do they just bolt right on?

Here are a couple of quick pics. How do they look with the rotors, calipers, and center caps?

:I just bought a set of AVS VS-5 wheels and tires. These are the SMZ setup- 275/35-18's on the rear. I was driving around yesterday and tossed the car around a right hand turn to see how well the back end sticks. In the midpoint of the turn, I heard a noise that sounded suspiciously like my rear drivers side tire grinding into the wheel well. I don't see any damage, but didn't pull the tire off to look closely.
:Has anyone with wide 18" rears experienced this rubbing under the right set of conditions? I am wondering if HICAS together with the drivers side of the car being loaded up due to the right hand turn caused the tire to rub. If so, I'm bummed because this didn't happen with my stock wheels (on the other hand, the back end would have gone on its merry way with stockers, so maybe it's a moot point).
:Any ideas?
