I just bought a set of AVS VS-5 wheels and tires. These are the SMZ setup- 275/35-18's on the rear. I was driving around yesterday and tossed the car around a right hand turn to see how well the back end sticks. In the midpoint of the turn, I heard a noise that sounded suspiciously like my rear drivers side tire grinding into the wheel well. I don't see any damage, but didn't pull the tire off to look closely. Has anyone with wide 18" rears experienced this rubbing under the right set of conditions? I am wondering if HICAS together with the drivers side of the car being loaded up due to the right hand turn caused the tire to rub. If so, I'm bummed because this didn't happen with my stock wheels (on the other hand, the back end would have gone on its merry way with stockers, so maybe it's a moot point). Any ideas? -John P
