:I'm going to do you a favor and let you in on a little secret. thanks for the favor, but i mispoke in my initial post...My 300ZXF does not have a stock body. So Downforce is the least of my worries. actually, downforce is created due to the inherent properties of aerodynamic. It is called 'ground effect'. with the car on the ground and body shape in tact, the ground is playing a vital role in preventing air from going under the car. but once air born, the car, shaped similarly to a wing will begin to generate LIFT once it has broken free of ground effect (roughly 4-5 feet of air space between body pan and ground). breaking free of the vacuum under the car is going to be your biggest hurdle here is a link to my website, with updates on my Project FlyingZCar complete with pictures. : :Learn more about this project at :[ http://flyingzcar.tripod.com/ ] sweet. interesting site. but remember, you're still attempting to lift 3500pounds (fuel.passanger). and even more with twin turbine/jet engines.
