I'm trying to visualize how this design will prevent unequal flow... With a normal dual pop, you have 2 open ended tubes with an air filter on one end that share air from the outside world. Nothing stops one cylinder bank from sucking more air than the other, and only one side's airflow is measured, presenting the possibility that the ECU will give an incorrect mixture in the bank receiving the unmeasured flow of air. With this design, you have 2 open ended tubes that share air from the outside, but in addition share air about a foot downstream. Nothing stops one bank from still drawing slightly more air than the other. Does the MAF mount before the join in the pipes, enabling the measured air to average out between the two banks?
