A stock NSX is a nice road car, but it takes a bit of effort to get it to be a forgiving car at the track. That car drives way differently than a 300. It understeers and 4 wheel drifts crazily stock on the track, I don't know how you got that impression by a stock NSX? You need a suspension immediately for the to actually feel neutral on the *track*, not to mention once you get quick, you'll want much more power. A 300 takes chump change to get to 400hp, the NSX takes a pot of gold to extract the power. Just because the NSX is mid engined, doesn't mean it handles so well. Its funny how real life experience is differnet than you expect. A buddy of mine who has a very quick TT and used to have an nsx daily driver smashed his NSX at Laguna. Not to say that is the pivotal moment in his nsx experience, but after owning both cars and racing so much, there was a reason he did one and kept the other the street car. Truthfully, the difference is the driver. You don't need to spend so much money on building a TT track car. If you can, then it will be more rewarding, but don't undersell the 300. They are so much faster than people recognize.
