Message I have a Z. The converse to your question would be, why do people feel the need for others to have to know what kind of car they're driving?

The badgeless idea sort of evolved on it's own. When I installed my Kaminari wing, I had the OEM decals but never got around to putting them on. Then I customized my front nose panel and removed the hamburger in the process. All of a sudden, I realized the only place on the body that had any emblems or badges left was the rear panel. So I decided to head in the opposite direction, more as a style statement than because of any particular look. I like subtle mods, that don't make any major changes in the lines of the car. Going badgeless is almost like de-modifying. Any explanation much more than that and I think the reader won't ever get it if they don't already. I think stock and lighted panels look great.

Still, it's kinda fun driving a ten-year old flashy sports car that the average driver can't identify, not that they would care. I have my original rear panel in case I want to swap it back. For now I like it the way it is. Of course, I drive around with bullet holes in my driver's side so I guess there's no accounting for taste, lol.
