I mean, someone knew to replace and stay with NGK's, just looked at the first number they come along, which is the NA plug number in the manual. As for the oil filter, I think someone just threw one on it using less money as possible for the resale. As for the motor, sure it's possible, heck sure we've all known someone that had bad luck in a motor that went out with very low miles on it. Former President of our Z club had his stock motor go out with like 26k miles on it and had to replace it. His car. This part dampens the fuel injector pulsation in the car's fuel injection system and that hose only slides on there and over time, all the rubber lines under the hood get either soft and loose or hard, brittle and crack. The Zip tie can color match your scheme and prevent this loosing affect. The damper and Regulator are both brand new as well on the car. Oh and Fram may be cheaper and again not, but OEM is always overpriced, but again makes sense. Not all, but some parts you have no choice but to go back to Nissan to order, so they gotcha. Trust me, I've replaced mega OEM parts on the Black Z, from ALL the seals, to shifter bushing, to just about all the sensors under the hood.
