Message	put a new battery in the Z a couple months ago...."They" said it was secure. last night I jump in the ride to head out for the night and smoke is coming from the passenger side of the engine compartment. I quickly turn around and get back in my garage. Open up the hood and the area around my battery is on FIRE! I use an extinguisher and put it out. Couldn't bare to look at it so I jumped in the other car and took off. Conclusion - this morning I take the half melted battery out and asses the damages. I need a new silinoid (sp?), new hose that runs in front of the battery and the end of my fusible link box is melted. I have to tow is somewhere, what do you think the estimated costs are for the replacement of these 2 things outside of a new battery?
